Positive Behaviour Support in Yagoona
Yagoona is our home base. Our behaviour support practitioner lives and works locally, which means the fastest scheduling in our coverage area, genuine flexibility for in-home and school visits, and none of your funded hours disappearing into travel. She brings five years' experience in mental health to every functional assessment and PBS plan.
Who we support
Children whose behaviour is limiting school, friendships or family life; teens and adults whose placements, work or independence are at risk; autistic participants whose distress is being misread as defiance; and families managing crisis to crisis. Around half our behaviour support caseload is adults — it's never too late for a proper functional assessment.
How it works in Yagoona
Most Yagoona families choose in-home sessions — behaviour happens at home, so that's where the useful observation happens. School visits to local primary and high schools are routine (with consent), and telehealth is there for check-ins between visits. The functional behaviour assessment typically takes two to three sessions before your plan is drafted with you, not for you.
